Diabetic eye screening is a test to check for eye problems caused by diabetes. Eye problems caused by diabetes are called diabetic retinopathy. This can lead to sight loss if not found early. The eye screening test can find problems before they affect your sight.

North of Tyne and Gateshead Diabetic Eye Screening provides retinal screening for people over the age of 12, who are diagnosed as diabetic by their GP. Speak to your Doctor or GP if you are worried about diabetes.
